How do the split modes work?
Every N pages chops the document into chunks of N pages each. By ranges lets you hand-pick page ranges like 1-3, 5-8, where each range becomes one file. Equal parts divides the pages as evenly as possible across the number of files you choose.
Where do my files go?
Nowhere. All splitting happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDF is never sent over the internet, never touches a server, and is never stored. When you close the tab, it's gone.
How do I get all the files at once?
Choose “Download as ZIP” and every resulting PDF is bundled into a single ZIP archive. Prefer separate files? Pick “Download individually” and each split PDF downloads on its own.
Does it work on mobile?

Can I split encrypted PDFs?
Password-protected or encrypted PDFs usually need to be unlocked first. If a file is encrypted, the split may fail and we'll let you know. Remove the protection in your PDF viewer, then try again.
